Zionism Is Judaism - Today's Chassidic Philosophy
Chabad and Chassidus - need a theory of Zionism. What role does the Jewish State play in Chassidut and in G-d's plans for the Jewish people?

The early Zionists true, were irreligious and even atheists but its not hard to discern a Divine Hand at work behind their project to reestablish Jewish sovereignty in Eretz Israel. The creation of the State Of Israel could have come about only because G-d wanted it to happen and nothing in this world can happen against His will.

As it stands, the Diaspora is on the way to becoming history. Soon, the majority of the world's Jews will live in Israel. The Jewish future is there. Chabad and Chadissus will have to embrace on the project of reconciling the Torah with the reality of a Jewish State.

Zionism I submit in its essence, is not a political statement but a spiritual one. Israel as a state is about G-d's plans for the future of the Jewish people in a Jewish State.

Zionism is Judaism and that informs today's Chassidic philosophy.
